The stories we share today become the memories our children carry tomorrow.
We are Katarzyna and Mateusz Skrzynieccy—a mother-and-son writing and illustrating team based in Highland Park, Illinois. We are united by our love for people, art, healthy living, and lifelong learning.
As explorers at heart, we continually discover new cultures, ideas, and the beauty found in everyday life, bringing that curiosity into every story and illustration we create.
Katarzyna is a writer and illustrator who combines her professional background in health care with her passion for education, interior design, creativity, and holistic well-being. Her creative journey began with writing and illustrating educational stories for her son, transforming learning into an imaginative adventure they could share. Her knowledge of health and wellness, together with her refined eye for harmony, color, and thoughtful detail, enriches both her storytelling and visual art. She creates with empathy and imagination, believing that children learn best when education is filled with curiosity, beauty, joy, and love.
Mateusz is a writer, illustrator, visual design artist, and PhD candidate. His creative work brings together storytelling, illustration, education, and social insight. Thoughtful and imaginative, he believes that words and images can inspire emotion, deepen understanding, encourage empathy, and create meaningful connections. He approaches every story and illustration with curiosity, compassion, and a desire to make a positive difference.
Together, we write, illustrate, and develop meaningful creative projects that unite education with imagination. We believe in the power of stories and art to encourage curiosity, kindness, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.
Whether we are writing, illustrating, designing, cooking, teaching, traveling, or simply enjoying a beautiful walk or thoughtful conversation, our purpose remains the same: to bring more beauty, wellness, wonder, and inspiration into everyday life.
We cherish the small moments, celebrate the meaningful ones, and believe that the most rewarding journey is the one in which heart, imagination, and purpose come together.

Welcome to Adventure with Alphabet
Adventure with Alphabet is an educational children’s book series and creative learning world designed to turn curiosity into discovery and learning into an adventure.
Created for young explorers and the families who learn alongside them, the series introduces children to the extraordinary world around them through stories, books, adventures, questions, facts, activities, creativity, and shared experiences.
At the heart of every adventure are Kasia and Mati, seven-year-old twins who believe there is always something new to discover.
One question can lead to an experiment.
One book can lead to another country.
One walk through the forest can become a lesson about animals, plants, weather, or water.
One recipe can introduce nutrition, culture, geography, and family traditions.
That is the idea behind Adventure with Alphabet:
Learning is everywhere.
Our Story
Adventure with Alphabet was created from a simple belief: children are naturally curious, and that curiosity deserves to be encouraged from the very beginning.
Children ask wonderful questions.
Why is the sky blue?
Where does rain come from?
How does a tiny seed become a tree?
Why do animals live in different habitats?
How do airplanes fly?
What do children eat in other countries?
Who lived here hundreds of years ago?
What is beyond our planet?
Every question is an invitation to explore.
Adventure with Alphabet was created to keep those questions coming — and to transform them into meaningful opportunities for children and families to read, talk, investigate, create, travel, cook, experiment, laugh, and learn together.
More Than the ABCs
The name Adventure with Alphabet begins with the alphabet, but the idea reaches far beyond learning letters.
For us, A to Z represents the whole world waiting to be discovered.
A can lead to Animals, Adventures, Art, and Astronomy.
B can open the door to Books, Birds, Botany, and Bravery.
C can take children around the world through Countries, Cultures, Cooking, and Creativity.
And the journey continues all the way to Z — Zoology, Zest, and a Zeal for Learning.
The alphabet becomes a map.
A map to nature and science, history and geography, art and music, languages and cultures, health and wellness, food and cooking, animals and plants, oceans and space, transportation and technology, emotions and values, holidays and traditions — and countless discoveries still waiting to be made.
Because learning does not belong only in a classroom.
It happens everywhere.
Meet Kasia & Mati
At the center of Adventure with Alphabet are Kasia and Mati, seven-year-old twins and best adventure partners.
They are the same age, explore the same world, and often ask the same big questions — but they notice things differently.
And that is exactly what makes them such a wonderful team.
Meet Kasia
Kasia is bright, clever, observant, thoughtful, and wonderfully inquisitive.
She wants to understand how things happen, why they happen, and what we can learn from them.
Her favorite companion on an adventure is her notebook.
When Kasia discovers an interesting fact, hears a new word, visits a fascinating place, or notices something unusual in nature, she loves writing it down.
She observes details.
She asks questions.
She compares what she already knows with what she has just discovered.
Kasia enjoys books, nature, travel, healthy cooking, organic foods, different languages, cultures, history, science, and discovering new places.
For Kasia, every adventure leaves behind another page filled with ideas.
Kasia takes notes because every discovery has a story worth remembering.
Meet Mati
Mati is intelligent, adventurous, imaginative, curious, and creative.
Where Kasia reaches for her notebook, Mati often reaches for his camera.
He loves photography and filmmaking and enjoys capturing the places, animals, people, landscapes, experiments, foods, and unexpected moments they encounter along the way.
Mati likes looking at things from different angles.
He wants to see what happens next.
He enjoys travel, nature, science, technology, healthy food, cooking, cultures, exploration, photography, and discovering how the world works.
His camera encourages him to slow down, look closer, and notice details that might otherwise be missed.
Mati captures moments because every adventure is worth seeing from another perspective.
Two Twins. Two Perspectives. One Adventure.

Together, they ask, observe, investigate, experiment, read, cook, travel, create, laugh, learn, and discover.
Sometimes Kasia notices something first.
Sometimes Mati does.
Sometimes they agree.
Sometimes one question leads them in two completely different directions.
But they always explore together.
Through their adventures, children are encouraged to become active participants rather than simply readers watching from the sidelines.
Kasia and Mati invite them to ask:
What do I notice?

Why does this happen?
What would happen if...?
Where could I learn more?
What can I discover for myself?
Because every child can be an explorer.
A World of Discovery
There is no single subject that defines Adventure with Alphabet.
The world itself is our classroom.
Children can journey into a rainforest to meet extraordinary animals, explore the ocean, follow the journey of a tiny drop of water, discover how a tree grows, investigate the planets, learn about healthy foods, visit famous landmarks, explore important moments in history, discover different professions, conduct simple science experiments, or learn how people celebrate traditions around the world.
They may explore fruits and vegetables from A to Z, learn about birds, mammals, insects, rivers, forests, mountains, weather, seasons, transportation, inventions, emotions, kindness, friendship, responsibility, art, music, language, and culture.
One adventure naturally leads to another.
Because the more children discover, the more questions they have.
And that is exactly what we hope will happen.

That is why Adventure with Alphabet brings education and storytelling together.
Instead of simply telling children what something is, Kasia and Mati explore it.
They wonder.

This approach helps turn information into an experience — something children can imagine, discuss, remember, and connect with the world around them.
Learning Beyond the Page
A book can be the beginning of an adventure rather than the end of one.

From the smallest seed to the largest ocean, nature plays an important role in the world of Kasia and Mati.
